The cameras and film can be bulky and time-intensive, and you get fewer shots per roll, which means lots of swapping out film during a shoot (which is ok for a few portraits—less ideal for a wedding or event).

35mm Film

This is the go-to for many film photographers, especially for events like weddings. It’s got a good balance of quality and convenience. The negatives are smaller than medium format, but you still get sharp images, and the grain can add a lovely texture to your photos. Plus, with 36 exposures per roll, I can keep snapping away without constantly reloading.

Point and Shoot Film

These compact, easy-to-use cameras take 35mm film you’re probably familiar with. They’re super handy for casual photography, like capturing candid moments or travel snaps. The automatic settings mean you don’t have to fiddle with manual controls, but they lack the flexibility and control you’d want for more professional shoots.
