There’s something undeniably magical about a wedding by the sea, where the gentle waves and coastal breeze add a natural elegance to every moment. Ali and Sam’s wedding at Seacliff Beach Resort in Aptos, California, was a testament to this timeless beauty.
They had an adorable none traditional getting ready session in a shared room with Ali and Sam in Seacliff Beach Resort suite. It was so endearing to see everyone help each other get ready and really illustrated how weddings are not just about the two getting ready but all their loved ones that have supported them through life.
A Fog-Kissed Ceremony at Seacliff Beach Resort
On the day of their wedding, a dreamy fog rolled in, enveloping Seacliff Beach Resort in a romantic, ethereal atmosphere. The wedding ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking the serene waters, providing a stunning, misty backdrop that added an extra touch of enchantment to their vows. Post-ceremony, we ventured to the majestic coastal cypress trees that line the Seacliff Beach Resort. Despite the foggy day, Ali and Sam’s love shone brightly, and we captured some truly breathtaking couples portraits. The misty weather lent a soft, diffused light that made every photo look like a scene from a classic film, with the towering trees providing a dramatic, natural frame.
For the family portraits, the same fog created a cozy, intimate feel. The joy and connection between Ali, Sam, and their loved ones were evident in every shot, each smile and laugh beautifully highlighted by the soft light filtering through the fog.
We had a lovely intimate cocktail hour on the lawn of Seacliff Beach Resort. Amazing food, karaoke, and conversations commenced. Ali and Sam met at a beloved mma gym, Allied MMA. Of course training teammates came to give their love and support. I actually met Ali and Sam on the mats and I am so honored I was asked to shoot their wedding.

As the evening approached, the celebration moved to a quaint backyard on the westside of Santa Cruz. The intimate setting was perfect for their small gathering, filled with fairy lights, laughter, and heartfelt toasts. It was a relaxed and joyous end to a perfect day, with the circles of their closest friends and family coming together to celebrate the newlyweds.
